Cemîl Qoçgîrî is a virtuoso Tenbûr player, much acclaimed composer and arranger, and always a builder of bridges. His music unites tradition and modernity, Orient and Occident. He links Mesopotamian and Anatolian sounds with Western music, such as Jazz and Folk, and thus lets his audiences experience a world which is alien and familiar at the same time.
Cemîl Qoçgîrî is back to Nuremberg on 10 November. At 8 p.m. he will play in the Villa Leon in Nuremberg.
