Djali Yancouba Conteh & Monika Camara (GMB/GER)

Yancouba Conteh is part of the famous kora scene in West Africa. As a newcomer, he learned to play the kora and the associated songs in the family circle. In addition to the classical tunes, Yancouba adds his own personal touch to this extraordinary musical style. Together with Monika Adele Camara, initiator of the African Art Salon Nuremberg & interpreter of African dance with 30 years of artistic relations to Gambia, the duo offers a touching insight into the art of the Trobadoure of West Africa.
