Duo Ruut (EST)

Ann-Lisett Rebane and Katariina Kivi from the award-winning Estonian nu-folk duo Ruut compose and play on just one instrument: the kantele. Strumming with four hands and tapping on the body, they elicit a band-sized sound from the box zither, which combines with their two-part vocals to create captivating music between Baltic folk, minimal, pop, ambient, jazz and classical music.
