Pop, rock, folk or jazz? The Erlangen and Würzburg-based acoustic duo AMotion, consisting of Alex and Miriam, refuses to set any boundaries. Whether performing covers of well-known songs or original compositions, the two create diverse arrangements with their voices and seven instruments, effortlessly moving between heartfelt love ballads and energetic rock classics. From jazz standards and radio hits to folk and country songs, their acoustic setup gives each piece a distinctive character. Using guitar, piano, violin, recorder, ukulele, cajón, percussion, and vocals from both musicians, they shape a rich and varied sound. Solos and improvisation have been a core element of their music since their beginnings in 2017, flowing through all genres they perform.
