Trio Rosenrot (GER)

Trio Rosenrot have got to the bottom of German folk songs. The musicians looked for the songs’ essential elements and are reproducing these now – in their very own manner. Old folk songs gather a surprising momentum of their own, and take unsuspected turns to jazz, ethno and pop. In their chamber music line-up with soprano voice, guitar and percussion, the trio create an intimate living room atmosphere which at the next moment can expand to an orchestral soundscape of incredible scope.
