Fjarill (SWE/ZAF)

Norse pianist and singer, Aino Löwenmark, and South African violinist and singer, Hanmari Spiegel have named themselves after the Swedish word for butterfly. In the programme “Midsommar”, they give audiences a chance to listen behind the Bullerby-Noisy Village façade of the north. In addition to Scandinavian folk songs, Fjarill present their own compositions and settings of poems by Nobel Prize winner, Pär Lagerkvist.
