The Irish Music Magazine rated multinational folk band Cara as the “gold standard of continental Celtic music”. It wrote that Cara is “authentic and respectful in equal measure” and “by now part of our living tradition”. So instead of being accused of cultural appropriation, in Ireland Cara is highly praised and showered with awards. For example, Cara has managed to bag two Irish Music Awards in its 20-year history which the band now celebrates with a best-of programme.
