Karin Rabhansl turns up the guitars on her fifth studio album “Rodeo” with a vengeance. The raven is flying again – but this time it wants to go where it has never been. On “Rodeo”, the singer from the Bavarian Forest merrily shifts her own parameters. This newfound musical hardness really suits the dialect riot queen. But the album is also a little love letter to her much appreciated heroes such as Led Zeppelin, Kyuss, Weezer, Radiohead, Sigur Rós and PJ Harvey.
