Leipzig quartet, Waldzitherpunk, really splash out and present their gracious audiences with hits from the folk parades of the past and the future, the drinking, scuffling and shagging songs which never made it into the school books. On top of this, there are grungy Brecht/Eisler variations, texts from the Paris Commune and occasionally tender, dancelike spring sounds. They play the fiddle, the flute, the forest zither, they sing, they roar and croak until …. somebody comes. Maybe the revolution.
